The leader and arguably proudest member of the Kyoshi Warriors, Suki is quick to action and eager to showcase her worth to anyone fool enough to doubt her abilities. This is exhibited in spades when Sokka first began complaining about her and her subordinates having captured he and his friends despite them just being a bunch of girls. After Aang is verified to be the Avatar and his friends are set free, Suki takes it upon herself to continually humiliate Sokka until he's forced to apologize for discriminating against them. By witnessing his sincerity, she quickly warms up to him and agrees to teach him some of her training techniques at his request before he has to leave with Aang to avoid capture by the Fire Nation.

She meets up with them again on their way to Ba Sing Se, as they begin to board the ferry boat there before Aang agrees to shuttle a group of travelers through a dangerous stretch of land instead. Suki and Sokka establish a stronger bond there, though Sokka rebuffs her advances due to the feelings he still has for Princess Yue. She senses that she did something wrong, and sets off to return to guard duty before Sokka finally decides to admit his love for her.

Some time later, she and the other Kyoshi Warriors happen upon Appa after his escape from a circus trainer. She senses his fear, and does her best to remind him of her, which affects the flying bison and allows for them to take proper care of him and reunite him with Aang. They are attacked by Princess Azula in order to capture Appa, and with him wishing to help them fight, she purposefully scares him so he'll fly away. The Kyoshi Warriors are soon beaten, and Suki is split from the group to be detained within the Fire Nation's maximum security prison, the Boiling Rock.

Wishing to free his father, Sokka and Zuko go on a mission to infiltrate the Boiling Rock, where he stumbles across Suki and they all work together on the escape plan, her martial arts prowess proving extremely handy. Once everyone is free, she stays by Sokka's side during the mission to bring down the Fire Lord, seemingly sacrificing herself for the greater good in an assault on the airships and later reappearing to save Sokka and Toph's lives by commandeering one of the vessels.

Supportive is this girl's middle name.

Kyoshi Warriors

Nationality: Earth Kingdom

Abilities: Martial arts

Job History: Kyoshi Island military

Episode Appearances: "The Warriors of Kyoshi"
"Appa's Lost Days"
"Sozin's Comet, Part 4: Avatar Aang"

This force takes their name from the Avatar that created their island. To pay tribute to her, they dress just as she was known to, and are all trained to use fans in battle as she did, though they also carry swords and shields with them for additional maneuvers. Their primary duty is to protect Kyoshi Island from all that should ever threaten it, mainly providers of goods that would sail in to their ports and remain only to get up to no good.

After Aang's visit to their island and the Fire Nation armies attacking to apprehend him, the Kyoshi Warriors are inspired to extend the defense they provide to the entirety of the Earth Kingdom. They are split up and put on guard duty for the ferry boats from the Earth Kingdom mainland to the capital city of Ba Sing Se. They also united again and stumbled upon Aang's flying bison Appa following his abduction by Sandbender bandits, where they were attacked by Princess Azula and her friends, only fighting them off long enough for Appa to make his getaway. They were all defeated and sent to prison, until being liberated following Fire Lord Ozai's loss in battle to Aang.
